Electronic wasteApproximately 2 billion pounds of electronic waste is discarded each year, and accounts for 70 percent of the overall toxic waste that is currently found in landfills. Lead and mercury, as well as aluminum, silver and gold, leach out and contaminate the surrounding soil and groundwater.

Personal computers, LCD monitors, CRT monitors, printers, facsimiles, servers, notebook computers, networking equipment, telecommunications equipment, uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), racks, copiers, cables, circuit boards, media, and other IT related assets make up eWaste; and are composed of approximately 40% plastics and other hydrocarbon-based materials.

Remediation Earth, Inc.'s licensed process technology can convert a significant portion of this plastic waste into #2 fuel oil or synthetic diesel.
